Deacon's Food Pantry
|
|

The Food Pantry has two special needs at this time:
(1) We have a particular need for canned beans and peas of all kinds,
since the Food Bank has been short of these. If each of you could bring
a can or two of these to church and leave them in the basket at the
rear of the sanctuary it would be a tremendous help. If you can bring
them this coming Sunday, it would be especially good to help us for
the distribution on Tuesday following Memorial Day.
(2) Don't forget that we also need plastic grocery bags. While the ones
from Wal-Mart and Target are most suitable for our needs, we can use
any you can bring.
Thank you for your financial and material support of this ministry,
which is truly vital in all three senses of the term: vital in the sense
of serving a critical need, vital in the sense of giving life, and vital
in the sense of flourishing. In establishing and supporting this food
ministry, you have truly "brighten[ed] the corner where you are."
Yours in Christ,
The Food Pantry volunteers

need for grocery bags. Donations can be made by leaving items
